  • 50 grams (1/4 Cup) Granulated Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Butter, browned
  • 1 Large Egg, at room temperature or substitute
  • 1 tablespoon Dry Milk Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 5.3oz (2/3 Cup) Pure Pumpkin Puree
  • 1 tablespoon Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • 406 grams – 468 grams (3 1/43 3/4 Cup) All-Purpose Flour
  • 150 grams (3/4 Cup) Brown Sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • 3oz (6 tablespoons) Butter, browned
  • 4oz Cream Cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 2oz (1/4 Cup) Browned Butter, softened to room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 2 tablespoons Heavy Cream
  • 180 grams (1 1/2 Cups) Confectioners Sugar

Instructions

  1. Activate yeast by mixing it with warm water and sugar until bubbly.
  2. Combine browned butter, egg (or substitute), pumpkin puree, dry milk powder, salt, and pumpkin pie spice into the yeast mixture.
  3. Gradually add flour to form a soft dough; knead until smooth.
  4. Allow the dough to rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  5. Prepare the filling by mixing brown sugar, cinnamon, and pumpkin pie spice in a bowl.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle; spread softened browned butter and sprinkle the filling evenly.
  7. Roll up tightly from one edge and cut into 2-inch pieces; place in a greased baking dish.
  8. Let them rise again for about an hour until puffy.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for approximately 27 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Make frosting by mixing cream cheese with browned butter, vanilla extract, heavy cream, and powdered sugar; top warm rolls generously.
