  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 2 tablespoons coarse sugar (for sprinkling)
  • Mini chocolate chips or black decorating gel (for eyes)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan, combine blueberries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and vanilla. Cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes until thickened. Let cool.
  3. Roll out pie crusts and cut out ghost shapes using a cookie cutter.
  4. Place half of the shapes on the baking sheet, spoon blueberry filling on each, then top with remaining shapes and seal edges.
  5. Brush tops with egg wash, sprinkle coarse sugar, and add eyes using chocolate chips or gel.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown. Cool before serving.
