  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken stock
  • Zest from 1 medium lemon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (or to taste)
  • 4 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Clean the mushrooms by brushing them to remove dirt; trim stems if necessary.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add mushrooms and sauté for 3-5 minutes until browned.
  3. Add butter, minced onions, and garlic; sauté until onions are caramelized (3-5 minutes).
  4. Pour in chicken stock along with lemon zest, lemon juice, and chili flakes; cook for about 2 minutes.
  5. Stir in remaining butter and chopped parsley; season with salt and pepper to taste before serving warm.
